Book Blogger Hop is a weekly feature hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week, a new book related question is posted and everyone can share their answers. This week’s question is:
Do you seek out new authors to read, or do you tend to stick to the same ones?
This is a question where the answer has changed a lot over the years. When I was younger, I absolutely stuck to the same authors. Most of my reads were re-reads back in the day. Over the past couple of years, I have made a concentrated effort to branch out my reading to discover new authors, new genres, new everything. This year, 14 of my 44 reads for the year are new-to-me authors. Part of this is due to being part of my book club, part of it comes from trying to whittle down my TBR, which is mostly authors I haven’t read before. I think I’ve just become braver as a reader. I used to just want my little cozy bubble of familiarity, but now I want to experience new things, be a little adventurous. With books, anyway.
Be sure to check out the other answers of this week’s Book Blogger Hop and let me know if you seek out new authors (or just stick to your faves).

I was much more likely to just stick to the same ol’-same ol’ when I was young, too.
I have to say that I read new authors all the time. I love a Blog Tour and a Netgalley book!
Have a great weekend!

My post:
My reading world has expanded as I grew older too. For me, I think it had to do with my exposure to new to me authors through blogging and reading groups. I still have my favorites I return to, but I do think I read more new-to-me authors overall. I hope you have a great week!
