Sunday Post – July 13, 2025

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap what’s happened at the blog, and talk about things coming up. Let’s go!

Weekly Wrap Up

Let’s see, what all has been going on this week? It’s been fairly uneventful. Work continues to be slow, which is normal this time of year, but it will start picking up again once school is back in session. I work for a bakery that has a fundraising program (the kind where a group can sell our products to raise money). Fall is the busiest time of year for fundraising, which is my primary job other than normal bookkeeping stuff. I’m looking forward to fall for a lot of reasons. Mostly, because it’s my favorite time of year, but also . . . it’s been too damn hot! We’ve had several days where it has been over 90°F and super muggy outside. I’ve been staying indoors as much as possible.

Let’s see, what else. I got another lesson turned in for my Korean class. I was accepted into the Bangtan Academy Discord server a couple years ago. My studies have been off and on, so no, I can’t speak or understand anything yet in its entirety. It’s a hard language to learn! It’s been a lot of fun though.

Other than that, I haven’t been doing much. I’ve been reading a lot more, so that slump seems to finally be gone. Since work is slow, I’ve been able to leave early most days. I’ve started going to the gym and also spending more time with family. In two weeks, we will be heading up to Pennsylvania for the World Boardgaming Championships, an event we have attended every year for several years now. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s really pretty up there, the games are fun, the people are fun, and it’s just nice to get away from everything and hide in the mountains for a bit.

Hope everyone had a good week as well!

  1. Great you have a more relaxed time in the summer with more reading. My daughter is a big fan of board games so that sounds fun!
