Weekly Wrap Up

This week has been a weird one. At work, our store manager has been on vacation, so I’ve been helping out a bit more to help cover things. Luckily it hasn’t been too busy, but it also means that our numbers are waaaayy down from where they should be. It’s normal this time of year, but still. We were hoping to impress our manager with big numbers when she got back. Oh well. We held down the fort. Nothing burned down and nobody died. It’s the best we could do.

In other news, I got to watch my stepson’s senior presentation online. He is getting ready to graduate from college with his degree in video game programming. His team presented a game that the designed, wrote, programmed, and actually published on Steam. It was really impressive! I’m so proud of him and how hard he’s worked. We get to fly up to Vermont next weekend for the graduation ceremony, so that should be a lot of fun.

In other other news, my daughter finally found a job – yay! The down side is that right now, they’re not really giving her any hours. She knows that they’re installing a new register system and that maybe the delay in getting her fully acclimated has something to do with that. But she definitely has a job, so that’s something anyway. It’s taken a while to find anything in this economy.
