WWW Wednesday – April 30, 2025

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

My last WWW post was two weeks ago (and I almost forgot to post this time *sigh*). In that time I’ve finished two more books. I finished my current read from last WWW, which was This Shattered World by Amie Kauffman and Meagan Spooner. That book is so weird – it’s the second book in this series but, when you first start reading it, it feels like a completely different story that isn’t connected at all to book one. It is all connected, of course, but it takes a while to get there. Once you do, everything becomes a lot clearer.

I almost forgot that I had book club coming up – which I finally was able to go to! It’s my first one this year so far. I keep either being out of town or getting sick. We read and discussed All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers. I’m not going to go into details (save that for the review) but I will just say that this book made me mad. And not necessarily in a good way.

What are you currently reading?

Currently reading Their Fractured Light by Amie Kauffman and Meagan Spooner. This is the final book in the trilogy and will check off another series from my challenge. This book is taking the two story lines from books one and two and merging them together, along with a story all its own. They are all interconnected, but now we get to see just how tightly woven everything is. So far, it’s really good.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I know what I want to read next, but I don’t have a copy of it yet. If I can get it, I desperately want to read Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins. You all know how much of a Hunger Games junkie I am, and this one is Haymitch’s story! I already know that I will not be okay, so just be warned.

That’s my reading for the week!
