Another month down! This year keeps trucking along, doesn’t it. March was a weird month. I’ve been in a strange place mentally and, when that happens, the blog tends to suffer a bit. It’s also when I tend to get into reading slumps, which thankfully hasn’t happened yet. So let’s see what March had to offer.

March Reads

• The Lost Girls of Willowbrook by Ellen Marie Wiseman

I’m not counting Lion Heart since I didn’t quite finish it in March (I finished it April 1st – so close!) That’s five books finished, which isn’t too bad, but still a bit slower pace than I would like.

Challenge Updates

GoodReads Challenge: My goal is to read 75 books this year. Currently sitting at 19 books read, which according to GoodReads is still ahead of schedule, although not by much. Still ahead though!

GoodReads Awards Challenge: My goal was to read all 14 of the winners of 2024’s GoodReads Choice Awards. Here’s the complete list if you’re curious. I also have them listed on my Challenges page. I unfortunately did not add to this one in March, although I have started one of these books for April.

Complete the Series Challenge: My goal was to complete seven series that I have not finished (you can see my list here). I am making excellent progress on this one, which I’m super excited about. In March, I finished the Cursebreakers series by Brigid Kemmerer and almost finished the Scarlet series by A.C. Gaughen. In March. At the time of this blog post, I have finished that one as well. So for March, that’s three series knocked out (but really four series as of today). Basically halfway done and we’re only a quarter of the way through the year!

Blog Updates

Eh, March wasn’t great for the blog. I only posted ten times. Not the best, but I’ve also done much, much worse. Here’s a (very brief) breakdown:

• Reviews: 2

Reviews are starting to back up a bit again, but I’m hoping to get caught up in April. Also think I’m going to bring back the Sunday Post since those were good times to talk about things other than books.

Overall, March was a month of really high highs and fairly low lows. The end of the month got much better and April is starting off well, so hopefully that will continue.
