The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap what’s happened at the blog, and talk about things coming up. Let’s go!
Weekly Wrap Up
It’s been much more than a week since I’ve been able to do one of these. I think the last one was sometime in the middle of October? Work has been EXTREMELY busy. The store has been understaffed and we’ve had a terrible time finding extra help for it. I think we had three or four people either start and leave after one day or just not show up for the first day at all. For a while, it seemed like we were going to have to go through the holidays with just four of us – one of whom could only work three days per week, and then me, who also had to keep up with everything in the office. Gah!
Luckily, we had one of our college girls come back, plus had two new part-time girls start over the last couple of weeks, so that has definitely eased up the pressure a bit. This was happening during our big fundraising season, which is the main thing I work on in the office. It’s very mentally taxing, while helping in the store is very physically taxing, which means I was completely spent by the time I got home. Does that mean that I sometimes I was going to bed at 7:30? You bet! Can’t really blame myself for going into a reading slump, but hey, the increased hours meant my paychecks were amazing. I even had overtime a couple of weeks!
In other news, I mentioned on the blog that I’m doing the Reindeer Readathon again this year. Very excited about that. Hoping I can get through all of my TBR for it, but even if I don’t, I’ll be glad if I make it over my GoodReads goal. I hadn’t mentioned yet that I’m participating in the Broke and Bookish Secret Santa again this year. I’ve already got my name and have already started working on a few things for her. I always like to try and include something hand made and once I saw she loved scarves, it was a no brainer. I can knock out a scarf in a few days if I put my mind to it.
I’m trying to get back into crafting again, since it does help with my anxiety, but sadly, this is one of the things that falls to the wayside when I’m extremely tired from work. Picking up crochet again has been wonderful, as always, but I’ve also started doodling after following a few Instagram accounts. My favorites are Doodle With Rachel, Kerry Doodle and Rokia Love Art. Their designs are simple, mostly geometric patterns and it has been fun trying to recreate doodles inspired by them. It also helps quiet my mind a bit, which is the best part.
Last Week on the Blog
Coming Up Next Week
Honestly, I’m not sure. I’m going to try to at least update my weekly posts, but I don’t know if I can promise anything specific until after all the holidays are over.

I hope your workload eases soon.
Wishing you a restful reading week
It will ease up a bit after this week, but then get busier and busier going towards Christmas. I work at a bakery, so it’s very seasonal. Once January hits, we will be dead, so I’ll definitely get a break then.
