Book Blogger Hop is a weekly feature hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week, a new book related question is posted and everyone can share their answers. This week’s question is:
Are there any novels set on or near Thanksgiving that you love rereading or recommend as a heartwarming November read?
I’m going to take a different route with this one because, quite frankly, I couldn’t think of anything that I’ve read that was Thanksgiving/November specific. Definitely nothing that I reread to get into the spirit of the holiday. So instead, I went through GoodReads to take a look at the new releases that came out this month and found this one that looks like a super cozy fall read.

The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong
Tao is an immigrant fortune teller, traveling between villages with just her trusty mule for company. She only tells “small” fortunes: whether it will hail next week; which boy the barmaid will kiss; when the cow will calve. She knows from bitter experience that big fortunes come with big consequences…
Even if it’s a lonely life, it’s better than the one she left behind. But a small fortune unexpectedly becomes something more when a (semi) reformed thief and an ex-mercenary recruit her into their desperate search for a lost child. Soon, they’re joined by a baker with a “knead” for adventure, and—of course—a slightly magical cat.
Tao sets down a new path with companions as big-hearted as her fortunes are small. But as she lowers her walls, the shadows of her past are closing in—and she’ll have to decide whether to risk everything to preserve the family she never thought she could have.

This book just came out on November 4th and it seems like such a nice read for this time of year. I mean, come on – there’s a slightly magical cat! That’s enough to sell me on it!
Be sure to check out the other posts in this week’s Book Blogger Hop and let me know if what your favorite November reads are!

I hoped this was an acceptable variation of this week’s topic. For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out a good Thanksgiving book!
Sometimes it has to be done ☺️ it’s still good to see what other people have come up with ☺️
