Book Blogger Hop is a weekly feature hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week, a new book related question is posted and everyone can share their answers. This week’s question is:
Are there any books that you find particularly creepy or unpleasant, even if they aren’t horror novels?
I was trying to think of books that aren’t horror novels that I’ve found really creepy and, to be honest, nothing is coming to mind. I would like to recommend two creepy horror novels that I very much enjoyed. The first is Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. You can read my review of it here. This book is a ghost story about a very creepy and violent ghost. There are some fairly gory scenes in this one. The second book I recommend is Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. You can read my review of this one here. This one is creepy in a very different way, a very visceral way. It will definitely get under your skin.
Be sure to check out the other posts in this week’s Book Blogger Hop and let me know your favorite creepy reads!

I really struggled with this prompt, because even horror I don’t typically find notably creepy (because I’ve read too much of it I think). I’ll definitely check out your suggestions though because I’m always looking for something to really weird me out.
I have wondered about Mexican Gothic. It was quite popular at one point.
Have a great week!

I have not either one of those books. They sure sound creepy.
