WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
Since last week, I finished The Shadow Mission by Shamim Sarif. You can check out my review here. Definitely an enjoyable read, although it was fairly open ended. Maybe another book to come? Nothing official yet, but I would love to read something else with these characters. I also finished listening to Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare and absolutely loved it. Jennifer Ehle is my favorite of the Shadowhunter narrators so far. She was brilliant, but more on that when I post my Audio Round Up for September.

What are you currently reading?
The only thing I am trying to finish by the end of this month is still The Will of the Many by James Islington. This book is a BEAST and I fell really far behind reading it with the book club. The story is finally starting to pick up some, so it’s getting much easier to sink into. Since I really want to finish this over the next few days (how is September almost over???), I’m not reading anything else until this one is done.

What do you think you’ll read next?
Still waiting on my hold to come in at my library for the audiobook of Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. It says I still have six weeks to wait, but it said that about Clockwork Angel too, and then I got it not long after that. I think there may be fewer copies of this one, which is maybe why it’s taking longer. I’m fourth in line, so there’s that anyway. If it takes too long, I may have to go ahead and read the physical copy I have and then listen to the next book. There’s a much shorter wait time for Clockwork Princess.
Other than that, I’m still trying to decide what will be next. I need to figure out where I’m at for my reading challenges for the year before I make my decision. 2024 is going to be over before I know it – how is it going by so fast!

That’s my reading for the week!

What a lovely blog! I found you over on Taking on a World of Books. I’ll be back to visit soon.
Thank you so much!
I hope that you get your library book! I’ve had a couple of long waits on books and then they come in just when I am panic reading and don’t have the time!!
Have a great week!

My post:
I think they only have one copy of this one, which is why it’s taking longer. If I don’t get it by the end of this month, I’m going to read my physical copy and then get the audio book for the next one. There’s a much shorter wait for that one for some reason. And yes, I’ve already requested it, just to be on the safe side. 🙂
Only one copy is annoying. Good plan though. Maybe people aren’t going for the second one until they have finished the first? I sometimes wonder why some books in a series are more popular than others 😂
And my hold for book 3 came in before my hold for book 2. Gah! 😂
Nnnnoooooo 😂
