Book Blogger Hop is a weekly feature hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week, a new book related question is posted and everyone can share their answers. This week’s question is:
Are you a member of any book clubs and, if so, what has been your most memorable book to discuss with them?
Technically, right now I am in two book clubs, one that meets once a month in person and one online. I’ve mentioned the online book club before – it’s through the Fable app (wish they had a web version, but they don’t right now). There are several clubs to join. The one I picked was Ezeekat’s Book Club because I follow him on Instagram and he’s really funny. With that club, they have a book that they read each month and then discussion board posts for each chapter along with milestones to spread the book out through the month if that’s how you would like to read it. It’s why it took me so long to read The Spellshop, for example – I was trying to time it with the club.
When I said “technically” at the start of this, I was referring to my in person club. I am technically still a part of the club, but I haven’t been able to attend in a few months. They select a book for each month and then meet, usually in a place with nice drinks, on the last Sunday of the month to discuss. This one is nice because I am not usually a social person, so this helps me get a bit out of my comfort zone. A friend of mine is one of the founding members of the group and invited me to come since she knew I loved books as much as she did.
The in-person club also uses an app to help organize things and to communicate, called the Book Clubs app. This one does have a web version and is a really good resource if you are looking for a book club to join. While Fable is strictly online, Book Clubs has lots of different options, whether you’re looking for something that meets in person, meets virtually, or online only.
As far as the most memorable books I’ve read with the clubs, I will go with Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin for the Fable group. It was one of the first ones I read with them and something I don’t know if I would have read it on my own. For the in-person club, I’ll choose When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book quite like this one and discussing it with a group of other women was very enlightening.
Be sure to check out the other answers in the Book Blogger Hop, and let me know if you participate in any book clubs!

I’m quite a slow reader so something that takes time would be good for me. With 2 small kids I can’t get to anywhere in person so online would be better for me. Maybe one day when they are older and I have time 🤣
Have a great week!

My post:
I’ve been there! My kids are 21 and 19, so they don’t usually need me around as much (although they still do from time to time – parenting never stops!), but it was much harder when they were younger to go out and do things on my own.
🤣 mine are 6 and 1 so I have a way to go yet. My oldest son is Autistic which makes things slightly different. We shall see whether my other son is too.
