WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

Since last week, I finally finished listening to City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. It took longer than anticipated since I can usually listen at work and was unable to for a while. I also finished Heir by Sabaa Tahir and it was so good! Makes me want to re-read An Ember in the Ashes so much! This was a NetGalley ARC and the review won’t be out until much later in the year closer to its release date (which I think is in October), but just know that it was wonderful.

What are you currently reading?

I am still reading The Stardust Grail by Yume Kitasei. This will be an all month read since I’m reading it with Fable. I also started listening to the next book in the Mortal Instruments series, City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. I also changed up what my other read was going to be from what I was thinking about last week. Basically, my “Beat the Backlist” challenge isn’t going great, but I’m doing pretty well on my “Complete the Series” challenge, so I decided to jump back into that one with The Snow Queen by Mercedes Lackey, book #4 in the Five Hundred Kingdoms series. This series is another fairy tale retelling and it’s just a quick, lighthearted read. Also nice is that while it is a series and the books are loosely connected within the same story world, you can for the most part read them independently. So I didn’t have to go back and read the first three books to get into this one, which is super helpful.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m working through two series right now, so my next reads are fairly obvious lol. I will be listening to City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare, book #5 in the Mortal Instruments series, as well as reading The Sleeping Beauty by Mercedes Lackey book #5 in the Five Hundred Kingdoms series. I don’t know yet what the next book over at Fable will be and I also need to get back into the local book club I had joined since I haven’t been able to meet up with them in the past few months. So there might be more coming soon.
