This was a new skill she’d acquired, the ability to look, to the outside world, utterly serene and even cheerful, while, in her skull, all was chaos.

I’m listening to the audiobook for this reread and it has been a really interesting experience. I’m noticing things that I didn’t notice before when I read my physical copy. It’s cool!
