WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
My schedule over the past week has been both stressful and relaxing (hello, holidays!) but I still managed to read (and listen) to quite a bit. Since last week, I finished both of my current reads and also my next one. Yay! I really enjoyed Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. It’s been a really long time since I’ve tried writing at all, other than blog posts, but this book has made me want to give it a go again. Will that actually happen? Not sure yet. Maybe it will become a New Year’s resolution. I also finished the audiobook for Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I had been looking forward to listening to this one and I have to say that Wil Wheaton was the absolute perfect person to do this narration. Absolutely loved it. Finally, I finished Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle. This was a collection of three interconnected short stories and was a perfect read leading up to Christmas. So charming.

What are you currently reading?
Currently reading Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. This one is a monster, clocking in at almost 900 pages, but it’s so good! I’m a little over halfway done right now and enjoying it so much. I also decided to do another audiobook and found a copy of 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson on my library’s Libby. I love that book and it’s been a while since I’ve read it, so listening to it has been a real treat.

What do you think you’ll read next?
It’s a bit late for it, but it worked with the Reindeer Readathon so I’m gonna do it – gotta read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It’s a classic. That will probably be my last read for 2024, but after that I will probably be diving into The Heart Forger by Rin Chupeco, the second book in The Bone Witch trilogy. I really want to see where that story is going!

That’s it for me this week! I’m hoping to get a couple more reviews up before the end of the year, but between the holidays and this week also including my birthday, I might not have time.
