This week’s teaser is actually two teasers from The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan and Maureen Johnson.

Some days later in Lima, after all the trauma and guinea pigs, Catarina and Ragnor finally trusted Magnus enough to let him have one – just one, and they were watching him insultingly closely – drink.

Magnus did not particularly want to think about whatever he had been babbling piteously about on the night when he’s gotten his heart broken. There was no point in wallowing. Magnus refused to wallow. Wallowing was for elephants, depressing people, and depressing elephants.

This moved up on my planned TBR because I will be going on vacation next week and this is a big book to try and pack! Especially since it’s the hardcover! It’s a really fun collection of short stories about one of my favorite characters in the Shadowhunter universe. Good times.
