Teaser Tuesday – September 14, 2021

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Here are the rules if you want to play along:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week’s teaser comes from Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty.

Am I angry? He had been asking himself that question all day, wondering if the fog was just anger masquerading as something else, but the feeling that had infiltrated all the cells of his body was something far more and something far less than anger. It was a dull nothingness with the weight and texture of wet cement.

Yes, this book is a complete departure from what I was doing before. Yes, it came out of nowhere. More on that tomorrow. 🙂

Please leave your teasers in comments!

  1. I only recently read this one, and was surprised that I enjoyed it. I wanted to finish it before the miniseries showed up on Hulu, and I’m glad I did..

Great excerpt! Here’s mine: “ROCK PAPER SCISSORS”

  2. Interesting for sure, I am not sure I have heard of this book, I am going to go look it up, I may recognize the cover LOL
