Hope all of my American friends had a nice Thanksgiving! We had a very small dinner here with just my hubby, the kids and my mom. Nothing fancy, just a good meal and quality time together. It was nice having a long weekend off from work too. I really enjoy my job right now, but it has been a bit busy and stressful over the past couple of weeks. This was a good time to recharge the batteries, as it were.
Another cool thing about this weekend – I got my #TBTBSanta Secret Santa package! I was so excited! My Santa was Amanda (aka @dandagirl) and she put together the nicest package!

Again, thank you so much, Amanda! This was so generous and lovely, I couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Now I just need to get my #TBTBSanta gift finished up. It’s almost ready – I have one crochet project to finish up and then it’s a go. I did get my #Critmas package ready – it will be shipped tomorrow. I also got my cards ready for the #TBTBSanta Christmas Card Exchange. Those should hopefully go out tomorrow too (I need to buy stamps). I may have slightly overextended myself on the Secret Santas this year (this isn’t even counting the Christmas festivities at work) but I am in such a better place this year compared to last year. Last Christmas was one of the hardest times and lowest points of my life. Despite 2020 being a horrible year, I have made a lot of changes and can see my life finally starting to turn around. I have high hopes for 2021.
What is this strange feeling? Is it . . . optimism? I haven’t felt it in so long! I hope it sticks around!

I did have a nice Thanksgiving.
I used to knit, but need to get back to it. I am a bookworm- love mostly classics and fantasies
I tried knitting for a while but I think I’m too used to crochet. I had a hard time handling two needles instead of one hook! I might try it again someday. 🙂
Knitting is a bit easier for me- just because that is what I started it
Hurray! You’ve been spoiled big time! I’m not great with fabrics, but these colors look real nice to make yourself some fall- and wintery hats, scarfs and mittens for when you are out walking or something. That’s still allowed in most places. Your thanksgiving (which we don’t celebrate in NL) sounds lovely too. Spending quality time together sure sounds better than any big activity. Something we all learned this year… I hope you will enjoy your reads!
The colors are really pretty and look really nice together. Not sure what I’m going to make with them yet but scarves and hats sound perfect. I love making those, mostly because they are smaller projects that don’t take as much time. 🙂
Thank you for my Critmas presents. I loved the dice bag! Kudos on your overall color scheme with the gifts. I’m pretty sure those dice will be my new designated dice for my favorite character!
Yay! I’m so glad you liked it! Hope you have a wonderful holiday! 🙂
