This week has been a bit weird, but I actually have some good news for a change!

I have a new job!!

I’ve been out of work for about two and a half months dealing with some of the issues that my kiddo was having, but since she is stabilizing, it is time to get back to it. The last job I left was a staffing agency and I got a phone call from them saying that they had a position for me if I was ready to go back to work. I interviewed on Friday and I will be starting on Monday! The job is at a bakery/catering company and I will be working in their office as a bookkeeper.

The people were super nice when I met them and the work is something that I’ve done before and I’m pretty good at. They are also willing to be flexible with my work schedule so I can still handle my kiddo’s stuff as needed. It’s honestly one of the best situations I can imagine, plus there’s cupcakes.

It’s going to be an adjustment, since I’ve gotten out of the routine of a normal work day. It will also impact my blogging, since in my last job I was able to write posts during the slow periods during the day. I’m also finishing up another theater show and once that’s over I’ll have my afternoons and evenings back. I’ll figure it all out at some point, especially since my blog has grown so much this past year. I’m not going to give up on it now!
