What a week. I think this week can honestly be summed up by the following emoji:

Honestly, I don’t know where the week went. My job has gone from being mostly comfortable with occasional downtime to being a full on marathon of activity. Which doesn’t bother me – I like staying busy – but it makes me so exhausted by the end of the day. I have been training for several weeks to fill in for a co-worker having surgery. I think the training has been more time consuming and more intensive than doing the actual job, which will be a relief in more ways than one. Luckily, it was all stuff that I’ve done at other jobs, I really just needed to see what their procedures were and if there were any differences. Which there are, of course, but nothing to difficult.

Homeschooling will officially be done this weekend! I got the end-of-grade exams from the testing service and the kiddo and I will be ensconcing ourselves in the library and knocking them all out. And then going out for ice cream. Next hurdle is to get her back registered for school next year, but we have to wait until the summer to do that. We want her to go to a specific school, which might involve jumping through some hoops, but I think we can make it work. I will feel much better once it’s all resolved though.

So there’s all of that. Lots of things going on. Which has, unfortunately, meant that the blog had to suffer. I’ve only written three posts since my last Friday Wrap-Up post. I think that’s an all-time low since I rededicated myself to blogging in January. Not going to let that get me down, though. Next week, once I’m actually in the fill-in job, things should get easier. It’s also made me slack off on my reading, which is a bit frustrating because I have two blog tours coming up next week and I really, really, really, really need to finish those books!

Reading Progress:

• I read chapters 7 through 19 of The Bone Charmer by Breeana Shields (blog tour book #1).
• I read chapters 6 through 17 of Art of Death by Becca Vincenza (blog tour book #2).
• Aaannnnd . . . chapter 15 of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Whoohoo.

That’s it.

Eh, it could have been worse. I do have a fair amount of time to read today and tomorrow, and I am over halfway through with both of those books, so I should be okay. Harry Potter, well, that’s it’s own issue, but I’m working on it.

I will probably not be blogging this weekend, but I will be back on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend – go out and do something fun! Or read something fun!
