1. WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING & WHY HAVE YOU KEPT BLOGGING?

I looked it up because I didn’t remember for sure, but I began blogging back in 2011. I started the blog after joining a writing group, wanting a space to connect with people that might eventually turn into an official website if I ever actually got published (which I haven’t). My original posts were more personal in nature, talking about my family, some book stuff, the holidays (I started it in late November). Slowly, the blog started to be a way for me to post book reviews, which I used to do back when in the good ol’ days of Livejournal. It’s dipped into other things, died off a few times, and come back when I had the motivation to do so. I decided this past January that I really wanted to rededicate myself to blogging and, so far, it’s gone pretty well.

2. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF BLOG POST TO WRITE?

I enjoy any post that is interactive, like my Tuesday posts or WWW Wednesday. It’s fun to connect with the larger book blogging community. I’ve also really enjoyed doing my Chapter-A-Long posts with the Harry Potter books so far this year. Once I finish those, I’ll need something else to do.

3. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 FAVORITE BLOG POSTS?

That’s a tough one. I honestly don’t know! I will say that I very much enjoyed my first blog tour post, just because it was really exciting. I’ll also pick my first Chapter-A-Long post, which was actually a while ago, back in February 2017. I actually started doing this with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which I got for Christmas the previous year and wanted to dissect. It didn’t get a lot of attention back then, but it was still fun. For the last one, I’ll pick one of the interactive posts I mentioned before, that for some reason had the most views so far this year – Teaser Tuesday and Top Ten Tuesday for January 1st.

4. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO TO RELAX?

I enjoy video games, my favorite being Lord of the Rings Online. I can lose hours just exploring Middle Earth to my heart’s content. I also really love to crochet and do cross stitch. Something about those simple, repetitive stitches coming together to make something beautiful really calms my nerves.

5. WHAT ARE 3 OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS?

Well here are two of them:

But in all honesty, my family is pretty much my favorite thing always. They drive me insane, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. My husband is amazing, supportive, and puts up with my crap. My daughter is beautiful, creative, a pain at times, but all-around amazing to me. My mom is my absolute best friend.

6. WHAT ARE YOUR PROUDEST BLOGGING MOMENTS?

I think I mentioned it before, but starting back up this past January, and really starting strong, is probably my proudest moment. This blog has grown exponentially since then, so I’m really proud of that and really excited to keep it going.

7. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF BLOGGING?

Other than reading and writing, writing about reading, or reading about writing, my other love is theater. I adore it. I’ve been to Broadway many, many times, and even got involved with my local community theaters a few years ago. There is nothing like the bond that forms between members of a cast and crew putting on a show. There’s something electric about it. I’ve never felt more alive as I have on stage. I also love to sing, so anytime I can be in a musical is a good time.

8. DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY IN 3 WORDS?

Quirky, neurotic, creative.

9. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 PET PEEVES?

I hate when people are late. Part of that is because I am almost always annoyingly on time. It’s just rude. At least call or text. I really don’t like when people drive like idiots or are just really inconsiderate drivers. If I’m stuck in a lane and need to merge, just let me over. Don’t be all macho about it. Especially if the roads are icy. Just because you have a big 4-wheel drive truck doesn’t mean it’s any safer. My other pet peeve (which might be more than just a pet peeve, but I’ll go with it) is Internet trolls. I don’t understand why people just go out of their way to be mean and obnoxious for no reason to people they’ve never even met. It doesn’t make sense to me at all.

10. WHAT’S SOMETHING YOUR FOLLOWERS DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU?

Some of you may know this if you’ve read any of my other blog’s posts, but even though I tend to be bright and cheery here at Life With No Plot, I actually suffer from pretty major depression. Blogging has helped with that a bit because I can force myself to sound upbeat and happy, which can pull me out of the depths from time to time.
