Teaser Tuesday – January 10th, 2017

Teaser-Tuesdays-PurpleTeaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Purple Booker. Here are the rules if you would like to play along:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Everywhere I turn, all I see is black. My vision drowns in cascading waves of darkness. I tread on something soft and slippery. There’s the smell of sweat and drying mud in the air. I hear distant footsteps marching but I see nothing. That’s good, I think. It means they can’t see me either.

~ The Plantation by Stella Samiotou Fitzsimons

I haven’t actually started this one yet, but I will probably do so as soon as I can finish The Hobbit – that one’s taking a while yet. I don’t know much about this book, but this first bit sounds pretty exciting! Has anyone else read this?

Please leave your teasers in comments!

  1. That’s a great Teaser that raises a lot of questions. Is the character escaping? Where is he/she?
    My Tuesday post features MOONRISE.

  2. Haven’t read it or anything else by this author but it sounds interesting. I’ll look forward to reading your review when you’ve read it. Here’s the link to my intro/teaser for this week: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1rl

  3. I hadn’t read this one yet either, but you’re right. It sounds exciting. Here’s my teaser: Starling by Lesley Livingston

  4. Ooh, sounds intense. I’d keep reading.
