Still, the image haunted his dreams throughout the night: a lovely girl gazing at the stars, and the stars who gazed back.
~ Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
In other news, today my sweet baby girl turns 12 years old. What?? How did that happen??
Here’s our Banned Book Week question of the day:
This question is so hard for me! There are so many wonderful characters that it would be awesome to hang out with. If I go with my answer from yesterday (the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling), I would love to hang out with Hermione Granger for a while, going to lunch and then maybe browse at Flourish & Blotts. We are very, very similar. If I want to go with the top banned book, Looking for Alaska by John Green, I think it would be a lot of fun to hang out with Alaska Young at McInedible. If I scroll through the lists from the past few years, I could also easily pick Charlie, Sam and Patrick from The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, but only if we can drive through the tunnel on the way to the restaurant.
I am definitely one of those people who immediately connects with characters in books. Hence why this is really hard to narrow down. But I think these are all solid, fun choices.
Please leave your teasers and any Banned Books answers in comments!

Fascinating teaser! Thanks for sharing, and as for Banned Book characters….there are probably a lot. I will think about that.
Here’s my intro/teaser, from: “THE KEPT WOMAN”
That’s why I had several listed – there are so many characters that I absolutely love! And I really loved the teaser too. I’m not sure where this book is going yet, but the writing is good.
This is the first I’ve read anything about Throne of Glass and it sounds really interesting. Adding it to my ever-lengthening TBR list. Here’s my link: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1hx
Several people I follow are big fans of Sarah Maas, so she’s been on my radar for a while. So I’m glad I was finally able to get around to reading it.
Happy Birthday to your daughter.
Thanks!
