Weekly Wrap Up

A bit more than weekly, but what can you do.

Not a lot to report this week, honestly. The weather finally cleared up – schools were out for two weeks because of the ice storm and the snow that followed. It made work a bit more complicated since there were so many deliveries that needed to be rescheduled and worked out. We also had Valentine’s Day thrown in there, which I worked over in the store and was extremely busy.

Otherwise, there isn’t much going on in my life. My cats are still crazy. The kiddo went through a pretty major depression swing, but she’s coming out of it and catching up with school. The hubs is preparing for another board gaming event next weekend. I’m going with him, but not to compete. More to just hang out in the hotel and relax. Now that the weather is back to normal, my mom and I have resumed our weekly BTS geek out sessions, although lately, we’ve mostly been catching up on all the random stuff we’ve saved on Instagram.

I still have my store up – Tabby Cat Textiles – but I’m trying to figure out other items to make for it. The weather is starting to warm up, so people aren’t going to want scarves and gloves and such. I’m looking into making crochet jewelry – there are some really cute patterns with smaller hooks and thread. Might look into doing bags or purses too. All of that has been put on hold for a bit while I work on a baby blanket for one of my co-workers. Her daughter just had a little boy and since she knows that I crochet, she asked if I would make her a blanket if she bought the yarn. She wants something for the baby at her house.
