The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap what’s happened at the blog, and talk about things coming up. Let’s go!
Weekly Wrap Up
This will be more of a monthly wrap up, since I haven’t done a Sunday Post since November, but at least I can catch things up now. My unofficial goal is to try and post every day in January to get back into a blogging routine, so hopefully that will keep me from having to do a huge update later on.
Work continued to be crazy through our big fundraiser season and through the holidays. As you can imagine, working at a bakery during the Christmas season is pretty hectic. I was spared most of it working in the office, but I still helped out in the store a bit and got to see it all first hand. We’re pretty lucky though. Our customers are really sweet and I really like my coworkers. When it gets super busy like that, we all band together and help each other out. Really feels like being part of a team and I love that.
I recently posted my reading goals for 2026. They are also up as a link on my header. I’m really excited about starting over with a fresh slate for the new year. Last year’s goals were slightly disappointing, but there’s just something about the new year that makes me feel optimistic. I’ve always been that way, especially since I love making goals and making lists – whether or not I follow through with all of it remains to be seen, but the goal making and list making parts are fun.
In shop news, December brought me my very first sales! I moved my shop from MakerPlace over to Etsy – they charge a bit more, but there’s more traffic and the results speak for themselves. I sold four things – two hats, one scarf, and one set of fingerless gloves. Full disclosure, two of those sales were from friends of mine who wanted to support me, which I am beyond grateful for, but the other two sales were from completely random people who just happened to find me! I still only have a few listings, but now that the holidays are over and I have a bit more time, I am trying to get more up. I have a list of yarn and projects for said yarn that I need to start working through. I’ve also got a few works in progress that I can hopefully list soon.

That pattern is really pretty – love the variegated pattern of the yarn you chose 🙂 Working with a true team is way better than just putting in hours at the office – lucky! Thanks for sharing and happy new year.
Thank you and happy new year to you as well! I fell in love with this yarn but, unfortunately, it’s been discontinued. I have only have one skein left 😦
A good workplace makes all the difference.
Good luck with all your challenges this year.
Wishing you a happy reading week
Agreed. This is the best job I’ve ever had for that reason. Good work, good coworkers, good bosses. Even when we’re crazy busy, I’m not as stressed out as I used to be during a normal day at my toxic job.
