Weekly (Several Months) Wrap Up

I decided I wanted to start doing these again, both as a way to get back into the habit of regular posting again and as a way to talk about things other than books. I know that’s mostly what this blog is for, but there can be room for other things, and this meme works well for that.

There were only a few things of note. I went back to my last Sunday Post, which was in November, when I mentioned that work was insane. I can officially tell you that we survived the holiday season! Going into the summer gets really, really slow, which is nice because I can relax a bit and take some days off to recharge if needed. And believe me, it’s needed.

I’ve been playing a lot more Lord of the Rings Online lately. This has been a stress relief game for me for a long time, but I also go through periods where I don’t play as much. They have opened up better servers (64-bit, whatever that means – I’m not a tech girl) so I’ve transferred my account to one of them (Glamdring, if anyone plays and wants to look me up) and made some new friends. It’s been so much fun getting back into things there.

This brings me to the biggest piece of news that I have. This happened at the end of March. You all know how big a fan I am of the Korean group BTS. It’s been a weird time to be a fan, since they’ve all had to go complete their mandatory military service, but with two members already home and the other five scheduled to be back in June, it’s also been really exciting. One of the members who’s back, J-Hope, is doing a solo tour right now and . . . we got to go! It was amazing! My daughter (who got me into BTS), my mom (who’s almost a bigger fan than me), and I flew to San Antonio and got to see Hope On the Stage. It’s the first time I’ve seen any of them live and the show was beyond incredible. I could gush for ages, but instead I will share some pictures.
