Weekly Wrap Up

I finally have a full weekend off and thank goodness! I have been so tired lately, as well as completely fallen behind on stuff around my house. It’s been a mess. Lots of things have been a mess. But it’s okay. I’m getting a bit caught up this weekend before diving into another six days of working.

Don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love my job and my coworkers. But I’m just a little concerned that I’m this tired when the full season hasn’t even really started yet. I keep telling myself that I really just need to focus on getting through to the middle of November. After that, the office side of my job will pretty much dry up, but the retail side will get busier. I don’t mind that – it’s having both sides busy that’s the problem! And I know that I will adjust to the increased workload. It’s not unexpected and I’ve done it before. Just gotta keep going!

I am a bit frustrated because it has meant that the blog has fallen a bit by the wayside. Not what I wanted, especially since I had found a good process and schedule to keep up with it better. I’m hoping to get back on track next week, fingers crossed.

In other news, my daughter’s new job is going really well. They seem to like her a lot and she is learning things really quickly. They are already starting to rely on her and give her some more responsibility, which is a good sign. Speaking of my kiddo, her birthday was this past week. We took her out to her favorite restaurant and I ordered a cake for her (the benefits of working at a bakery!).She is now officially no longer a teenager – 20 years old! How did that even happen! I don’t feel old enough to have a 20 year old kid! In all seriousness, I am so proud of her. She has been through so much and has been working really hard to better herself over the past few years.
