Weekly Wrap Up
Work is continuing to get busier and busier. I’ve been trying to be more helpful, as our store manger had to go out for surgery at the beginning of this week. She expected to be back on Thursday, but as of right now, won’t be back until the middle of next week. There are a few people who are a bit stressed because of that, and I’ve been trying to do what I can. This is on top of my department getting busier as we go into our fundraiser season. But hey, I got a raise! So that was nice!
Also nice – they decided that we would do a company picnic this year and took us all to the North Carolina Zoo. It was so much fun! I brought my kiddo, my hubby and my mom with me – it had been a really long time since any of us had been there. Since it wasn’t too hot out, most of the animals were out and about.
Lions, giraffes, foxes, elephants, and ocelots – oh my! There were a bunch of other animals as well. It was a lot of walking though. I had over 13,000 steps yesterday! Definitely feeling that today! I don’t think I’ll be doing much!

Yay for the raise and the zoo! The zoo is very nice and having that space is great for the animals but it’s lots of walking. I enjoy it but my daughter struggles with joint issues.

It was definitely a lot of walking. I also deal with joint issues and chronic pain, so it was a bit of a challenge! Well worth it, though.
