Just like that, the first week in July is gone. I know I keep saying this, but time just keeps flying by so fast! It’s crazy!

I hope all of my American friends had a lovely Independence Day. We went to a baseball game to celebrate. Our local minor league team goes all out for the 4th – contests, food specials, fireworks after the game. It’s a lot of fun and, what’s even better is that my husband was able to score the tickets for free. We love that price! Unfortunately, we had a storm system go through that delayed the game originally, but ultimately cancelled it due to ground conditions. They were still able to do the fireworks though! And that’s what we really came for.

What’s really nice this year is that since my work is really slow right now, and the holiday is in an awkward place in the week, we not only got Thursday off, but we have today off as well! In return, I do have to work on Saturday, which is fine but does throw my schedule off a bit. Things will get back to normal for two weeks, and then we will be going on vacation. After that, we will be getting closer to fall, which is my busiest season at work and, honestly, the most fun.

I’m thinking about moving these wrap up posts to Sundays. I found another weekly feature hosted over at Caffeinated Reviewer that sort of does a weekly wrap up (they call it their “Sunday Posts”) but is also a bit more detailed than my freeform ramblings. Plus it’s a way to connect with more people as everyone shares their week. I haven’t decided if that would mean trying to put another review on Fridays or just going with a five post week Sunday through Thursday. I may not be reading enough books for that, I stay at my current pace of reading and reviewing. I’m leaning towards keeping things at five days per week, just moving Friday to Sunday. Obviously not this week, but maybe next.
